Newsletter #13

We're launching our new website! More content will be added over the coming months, but there's already plenty to discover. Alongside the larger productions by Myriam Van Imschoot and the YouYou Group, a whole constellation of smaller works comes into view. From sound art on school playgrounds to site-responsive performances in public space, from Timișoara to Japan. What stands out is just how much work has been accomplished over the past few years, and how many offshoots and collaborations have emerged along the way.

In our texts section, we bring together more in-depth writing, including contributions from artists and collaborators offering inside perspectives on artistic processes. At newpolyphonies, artistic practices are the driving forces behind our work. You can experience them first-hand at a Club Zaghareeds dedicated to the youyou, or by joining an open lab to experiment with the voice or with the city as a sounding board. Keep an eye on our calendar for upcoming activities.

And there's plenty more on the horizon! TITANS will premiere soon, a new creation by the YouYou Group and Glossa, under the artistic direction of Kinotita, a feminist platform for composers working with large ensembles. Who are these new collaborators, and what brings them together? Find out more on our website. Take a look, feel free to wander around, and come back from time to time. It’s tentacular!

Many thanks to Sven Dehens for design & development.
