Newsletter #12
Summer is gone, the sunlight is slowly losing its strength, and everyone is finding their way back to work. At newpolyphonies, we are already very much in the middle of things.
While we are deep in the preparation of our structural funding dossier for 2028–2032, the voices are very much alive. We are in an intense period of rehearsals, performances and preparations for everything that is coming next.
Today, YouYou Group performs Segen as part of Cry (No) More at KVS. On 1 May 2027, Cry (No) More returns with its full programme, with YouYou Group joining again. more info
Meanwhile, we are rehearsing Titans and getting ready for an intensive residency at CC Dommelhof, in collaboration with C-Takt, where Kinotita, YouYou Group and Glossa will come together to work on the project. From there, Titans travels to Brussels, where it will inaugurate the opening days of KANAL–Centre Pompidou in November.
And in Ghent, preparations are underway for newpolyphonies rewired at NTGent, a joint creation by Myriam Van Imschoot, HYOID Voices and RIF, opening on 1 October. NTGent box office
Our constellation is shifting, too. Blanca Castro Xiques is finishing her internship with YouYou Group, and we are very happy that she is staying with us as a new member of the group. We also warmly welcome Anouk Lacroix from KASK, who joins us for an internship around Titans.
So yes, the sunlight may be slowing down, but we seem to be moving in the opposite direction.

Step into a subtly dizzying polyphony, Twenty moving Bluetooth speakers surround the audience, continuously reshaping the acoustic space and creating an elastic sonic world in which the human is no longer at the centre.
